THE GREAT DECEIVER:
Revelation 12:7-11 NLT
[7] Then there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon and his angels. [8] And the dragon lost the battle, and he and his angels were forced out of heaven. [9] This great dragon—the ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, the one deceiving the whole world—was thrown down to the earth with all his angels. [10] Then I heard a loud voice shouting across the heavens, “It has come at last— salvation and power and the Kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters has been thrown down to earth— the one who accuses them before our God day and night. [11] And they have defeated him by the blood of the Lamb and by their testimony. And they did not love their lives so much that they were afraid to die.
Behind every act of deception, there is a greater power and influence. This great power that has been deceiving the entire world and falsely accusing Believers for years is the great dragon called the devil, Satan, and the Antichrist. But thanks be to God, this great dragon has been defeated and cast out of heaven. Eventually, this great dragon called Satan will be cast into the lake of fire to be tormented forever.
Revelation 20:10 NLT
[10] Then the devil, who had deceived them, was thrown into the fiery lake of burning sulfur, joining the beast and the false prophet. There they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
Until then, this great deceiver is out on an all out war with the children of God.
Revelation 12:17 NLT
[17] And the dragon was angry at the woman and declared war against the rest of her children—all who keep God’s commandments and maintain their testimony for Jesus.
So, Believer beware! We are indeed at war as the Bible says in Ephesians 6:10-12 and 2 Corinthians 10:3-6. It is now time for us to strengthen ourselves in the Lord, be discerning, put on the whole armor of God, and fight with our spiritual weapons.
Just as Michael and the other angels overcame the devil with the blood of the Lamb and their word of testimony, so shall we in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are more than conquerors!
