DREAMS:
Job 33:14-18 NKJV
[14] For God may speak in one way, or in another, Yet man does not perceive it. [15] In a dream, in a vision of the night, When deep sleep falls upon men, While slumbering on their beds, [16] Then He opens the ears of men, And seals their instruction. [17] In order to turn man from his deed, And conceal pride from man, [18] He keeps back his soul from the Pit, And his life from perishing by the sword.
Dreams are movie or video clips that we see through our eyes while we are asleep.
“Dreams are mental imagery or activity that occur when you sleep,” explains Dr. Drerup.
Dreams are one of the ways God communicates with us. He may communicate to us through His word, His Holy Spirit, the gifts of the Holy Spirit, through His servants, angels, still small inner voice, His audible voice, or even through each other. Whichever way God chooses to speak to us, we must be ready and trained to hear His voice. Every Believer can hear His voice.
John 10:3-5 NKJV
[3] To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. [4] And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. [5] Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.”
Very often God will speak to us through dreams, especially to His servants.
Numbers 12:6 NKJV
[6] Then He said, “Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, I, the Lord, make Myself known to him in a vision; I speak to him in a dream.
Dreams are also a sign of the outpouring of God’s Spirit upon us.
Acts 2:16-17 NKJV
[16] But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: [17] ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams.
Friends, we must no longer take our dreams for granted. God is speaking to us, directing us, seeking to protect us, providing solutions to the things that are happening in our lives, and warning us of things to come, but are we listening? Those that do will acknowledge that indeed God is who He says He is, and that He rules in the affairs of men.
