FREEDOM FROM YOKES:
Isaiah 10:26-27 NKJV
[26] And the Lord of hosts will stir up a scourge for him like the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb; as His rod was on the sea, so will He lift it up in the manner of Egypt. [27] It shall come to pass in that day That his burden will be taken away from your shoulder, And his yoke from your neck, And the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil.
God’s desire is to set us free completely, so that we can freely and willingly serve Him. Jesus said, no one can serve two masters (Matthew 6:24). We can never serve God effectively if even we are slightly in bondage to something else. That is why He has placed His anointing on us to break every yoke in our lives.
A yoke is an agricultural instrument that is used to link or unite two animals together for work, usually to plough a field or pull carriages or coaches. It is also used to link captives (Jeremiah 28:10-14) or slaves (1 Timothy 6:1) together. Whoever puts the yoke on the animals or individuals is the one in control. Believers must only be influenced and led by the Spirit of God and nothing else.
Spiritually, a yoke indicates bondage to sin (Lamentations 1:14), difficult servitude or addictions (1 Kings 12:4-14), oppression (Deuteronomy 28:48), forced submission (Jeremiah 27:8), marriage (2 Corinthians 6:14), or legalism (Galatians 5:1). As Christians, we must never allow any of these to negatively affect us.
Do you find yourself enslaved in any way? Is there any addiction in your life that is hampering your relationship and service to God? Is making money or becoming famous your main motivation in life? You need to break free from all these yokes and any other thing competing with God to influence your life.
You have an anointing upon you and within you that enables you to break and destroy EVERY YOKE IN YOUR LIFE. An anointing that makes you an overcomer through Christ Jesus, your Saviour And Lord. Stand upon the word of God, break that yoke of the enemy in the name of Jesus Christ off your life, and destroy it. The anointing working through the Holy Spirit will set you completely free.
If Christ has set you free, you are free indeed!
