The power in abiding in the word: Verse of the Day

THE POWER IN ABIDING IN THE WORD:

‭Joshua 1:6-8 NLT‬
[6] “Be strong and courageous, for you are the one who will lead these people to possess all the land I swore to their ancestors I would give them. [7] Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do. [8] Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.

Whatever you do in life, God’s word is essential for success and prosperity. God told Joshua to discipline himself to studying and meditating on His word so that he could ensure he had fully obeyed ALL HIS INSTRUCTIONS. It was only then that Joshua would become successful and prosperous in all he did.

What has the word of God to do with leadership, one may ask? God says everything. Today, many leaders give little time and attention to the personal study of scripture. Whatever time they give is for show to please and woo the believing masses.

Can one truly live by word of God and be successful in this world that has little regard and respect for the word of God? I believe we can. When we abide in God’s word we will discover truth that sets us Free from all our fears, sicknesses and diseases, and from all barriers and limitations to success in life (John 8:31-32).

Do you want to be successful in life God’s way? Pay attention to this advice and delight yourself in His Word. God will be with you, protect you, and direct you in the ways of success (Isaiah 43:1-4). This is the testimony of those who abide in Christ and His word.

Psalms 1:1-6 NKJV‬
[1] Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; [2] But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night. [3] He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper. [4] The ungodly are not so, But are like the chaff which the wind drives away. [5] Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. [6] For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, But the way of the ungodly shall perish.
