The Lord:
Exodus 23:25-26 NKJV
[25] “So you shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you. [26] No one shall suffer miscarriage or be barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days.
Moses instructed the children of Israel to serve the Lord their God so that He will bless their bread and water, take away sickness from their midst, ensure none miscarried or is barren, and fulfill the number of their days. I believe the same admonition goes for us all today.
Now, the word Lord means master, possessor, ruler, commander, or one who exercises control over others. When it is spelt in all capital letters LORD, it is referring to God the Father. When it is spelt with a capital L, it often refers to Christ or the Holy Spirit.
Most Believers today are self serving and not serving God. When we pray, it is mostly for our needs. When we give, it is because of what we expect to get. I believe things will change drastically for all Believers if we will refocus our efforts to serving God. Jesus says, why do we call Him Lord, Lord and don’t do the things He says (Luke 6:46-49)?
Do we want God to bless the work of our hands, take sicknesses away from our midst, and make us fruitful? Do we want to fulfill the total number of days that God has allocated to each of us? Then let us unite in serving our Lord God. He is faithful and He is watching over His word to perform it in our lives.
Those who serve the Lord faithfully are building their lives on the Rock. Nothing can remove or destroy them.
