HEAR THE VOICE OF GOD:
Joshua 1:1-4 NKJV
[1] After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, it came to pass that the Lord spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ assistant, saying: [2] “Moses My servant is dead. Now therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them—the children of Israel. [3] Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses. [4] From the wilderness and this Lebanon as far as the great river, the River Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and to the Great Sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your territory.
The first and possibly the greatest secret to accomplishing any task successfully is hearing the voice of God, the creator and owner of the earth. We need to hear His voice so that we can know His will concerning the task and have His goodwill in everything we are doing (Psalm 24:1-2).
Very often, as with the case of Joshua, hearing the voice of God will initiate the task or commission itself. No matter how a task is initiated, we must seek God concerning it and receive His input and directions if we want to do things His way and with Him (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Hearing God’s voice regarding any undertaking will help you to have peace, courage, and confidence knowing that He is with you. Hearing God’s voice will also help you to know your boundaries and the needed instructions to follow in order to successfully accomplish your task.
Do you think Hearing from God is important? How often do you consult Him to help you with your studies, marriage, business, or any task you undertake? Do you hear clearly from God at all? If you can hear His voice, do you follow through with His instructions?
Every child of God who is actively seeking to follow Him will discover that they have the ability to hear His voice. This is the one thing that every child of God can and should be able to do!
John 10:3-4 NKJV
[3] To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. [4] And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice.
Only those who hear and follow His instructions will enjoy His blessings.
