The Lord who heals: Verse of the Day

THE LORD WHO HEALS:

‭‭I Peter‬ ‭2:21‭-‬24‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
[21] For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps: [22] “Who committed no sin, Nor was deceit found in His mouth”; [23] who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously; [24] who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.

Jesus Christ is Lord over sicknesses and all kinds of ailments. When He walked on earth, He exercised dominion over sicknesses and diseases. He often healed all who came to Him for healing (Matthew 4:23-25; 12:15-16). He is like His Father, Jehovah Rapha.

The word RAPHA/ROPHE means to fix what is broken, heal, mend, repair, or restore something or someone to their usual form or state. Jesus took away our sins through His sufferings and death on the cross of Calvary and through His stripes, we were healed. The provision for our healing has been made already! Hallelujah!

There is no sickness, the stripes of Jesus Christ cannot heal. There is no life, no matter how broken, that He cannot mend and restore. All that is required is that you believe. The Bible says:

‭‭Mark‬ ‭9:22‭-‬23‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
[22] And often he has thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.” [23] Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”

Do you believe with all your heart? Then healing is yours in Jesus’s name. Amen!
