FEARFUL DECISIONS 2:
II Chronicles 20:1-4 NKJV
[1] It happened after this that the people of Moab with the people of Ammon, and others with them besides the Ammonites, came to battle against Jehoshaphat. [2] Then some came and told Jehoshaphat, saying, “A great multitude is coming against you from beyond the sea, from Syria; and they are in Hazazon Tamar” (which is En Gedi). [3] And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the Lord, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah. [4] So Judah gathered together to ask help from the Lord; and from all the cities of Judah they came to seek the Lord.
Positive decisions made out of fear leads to victory, increase and progress. Fear is natural and most of us will feel it from time to time, but we must never allow it to cause us to disobey God or drive us away from Him. When we fear, we must run to God and He will act to cause our fears to dissipate.
When Jehoshaphat and all Judah with him, ran to God in their time of great challenge, God heard them, reassured them not to fear, and fought for them. That day, Jehoshaphat and all Judah didn’t need to fight. They praised God and watched Him fight their battle for them!
Are you fearful, discouraged and feel alone because of the many challenges facing you? Run to God in prayer and fasting. God will hear your diligent cries for help and answer you. He will fight your battles for you and show you the way out of every challenge facing you. There is nothing too difficult for Him to do and no battle too small or big for Him to fight (Jeremiah 32:17).
Beloved, when you are afraid, run to the Lord because …..
Proverbs 18:10 NKJV
[10] The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe.
