THE SECRETS OF FRUITFULNESS:
Genesis 1:26-28 NIV
[26] Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” [27] So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. [28] God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”
Every individual has been created and blessed to reproduce. It is through being fruitful that we increase, fill the earth and are able to exercise dominion over all the earth and all the other created things. To be fruitful, we need to understand that God created us with the ability to reproduce biologically and in other areas of our lives.
Secondly, we need to understand that we can only reproduce after our kind. That is the reason why we all sat in the same class, under the same teachings, but discovered that some of us are mathematically, commercially, artistically or scientifically inclined. God wired each of us uniquely and in a certain way. When we discover how we are wired, the gifts and skills God placed within us, and develop them, we will be fruitful.
Thankfully, the world recognizes this uniqueness and has created ample opportunities for each person to find his or her place to develop and serve effectively. Do you want to be fruitful? Discover what you were wired to be and be that person. For those of us who are multi-talented, we may find it a bit more difficult, but we must find our niche and stay focused there. We cannot be jack of all trades and be effectively fruitful. We must know who we are created to be so that we can let OUR LIGHTS SHINE!
This morning, know that you have something nobody has. Without your contribution your world will not be as it is supposed to be. Find out who you were created to be and be that person. Discover your gift and serve with your gift and your gift will make a way for you.
