THE KEY TO YOUR PROTECTION:
Matthew 2:12-15 NKJV
[12] Then, being divinely warned in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed for their own country another way. [13] Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word; for Herod will seek the young Child to destroy Him.” [14] When he arose, he took the young Child and His mother by night and departed for Egypt, [15] and was there until the death of Herod, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying, “Out of Egypt I called My Son.”
Obedience to God’s instructions and the leading of the Holy Spirit will protect every Believer from the evil Plans of the evil one and from all the enemies around. God has promised us that He would always be with us and never forsake us. This is a guarantee from God and He will never fail us.
Our protection from our enemies are assured so far as we stay close to Him and within the boundaries He has set for us. We expose ourselves to danger when we live and make decisions out of fear. Unfortunately for many of us too, we have not developed a close enough relationship with God and His Holy Spirit to hear His voice and receive the clear directions needed for our protection. As a result, we walk blindly into the traps set for us by our enemies.
Psalms 23:4 NKJV
[4] Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
Those who hear God’s voice, even if it is reprimanding, are comforted because it assures them that God is indeed with them. The three wisemen from the East obeyed when directed by God, and went back to their country by another way. Joseph obeyed when he was instructed to take Christ and flee to Egypt. Can you imagine how history could have been altered had they disobeyed God?
Those who obey the instructions of the Most High God will dwell in absolute security. Is Christ your Lord and Shepherd? Are you walking in tandem with Him? You will not fear any evil when you know He is with you. Stay close to Him!
