TRANSFORMATION:
Romans 12:1-2 NKJV
[1] I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. [2] And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
God is at work in us. We are His project and workmanship. He has redeemed us from sin, restored our relationship with Himself, and He is currently at work restoring us our original state. God is in the process of transforming us into His image and likeness, to be like Christ (1 John 3:2).
The second means God is using to restore us is transformation. That is He is changing us one step at a time to become more Christ-like. For transformation to take place, God needs our consent and corporation. God will not do anything in our lives unless we are willing and ready to avail ourselves to Him.
That is why it is needful for us to present our bodies as living sacrifices, totally in submission to His Spirit and His word. It is only when we have presented our bodies as living sacrifices that our minds will be able to process and understand His words and our hearts ready to be transformed.
Our minds are renewed when we give ourselves to meditation of His word and allow His Spirit to reveal His truth to us.
Joshua 1:8 NKJV
[8] This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
Unfortunately, many Believers are unwilling to present their bodies as living sacrifices to the Lord because of the fear of becoming religious freaks. On the contrary, those who present their bodies as living sacrifices to the Lord, maximize their potential! They become like Daniel in Babylon, Joseph in Egypt and like David who served his generation.
Do you want to touch lives and impact your community? Present your body as a living sacrifice to God. He will transform you, fill you with His Spirit, and touch lives and situations through you.
