THE RISING NEED FOR INTERCESSORS:
Isaiah 59:12-16 NKJV
[12] For our transgressions are multiplied before You, And our sins testify against us; For our transgressions are with us, And as for our iniquities, we know them: [13] In transgressing and lying against the Lord, And departing from our God, Speaking oppression and revolt, Conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood. [14] Justice is turned back, And righteousness stands afar off; For truth is fallen in the street, And equity cannot enter. [15] So truth fails, And he who departs from evil makes himself a prey. Then the Lord saw it, and it displeased Him That there was no justice. [16] He saw that there was no man, And wondered that there was no intercessor; Therefore His own arm brought salvation for Him; And His own righteousness, it sustained Him.
Evil and unrighteousness are rising all around us. Even in the church, unbelievable stories of sin, abuse and transgressions are popping up from many places. Some brothers and sisters are commiting sins without an ounce of guilt. Persecution of the church and believers are on the rise. Never in the history of the church have intercessors been needed as now.
True to God’s word, intercessors are rising up everywhere. Individuals, stirred by the current trend of unrighteousness are rising up to pray and to form groups to pray for specific areas. Churches are giving more time to intense prayer and spiritual warfare because of opposition and the prevailing dense spiritual atmosphere.
The Bible continues to says in …
Isaiah 59:18-19 NKJV
[18] According to their deeds, accordingly He will repay, Fury to His adversaries, Recompense to His enemies; The coastlands He will fully repay. [19] So shall they fear The name of the Lord from the west, And His glory from the rising of the sun; When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.
Friends, the battle cries have been made and war trumpets are sounding. Do you hear the cries and the trumpets Sounding?
Rise up Believer, put on your battle armour and take your place on the front line. Pray for your family, your church, your Christian brothers and sisters. Pray even more for lost souls to be saved, for your colleagues and for leaders. Things just can’t continue as they are now. We need to pray until God turns things around and He rains righteousness on us.
Jesus is Lord and His kingdom extends to every nation and generation.
