Blind Bartimaeus: Verse of the Day

BLIND BARTIMAEUS:

‭Mark 10:46-52 NKJV‬
[46] Now they came to Jericho. As He went out of Jericho with His disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the road begging. [47] And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” [48] Then many warned him to be quiet; but he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” [49] So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called. Then they called the blind man, saying to him, “Be of good cheer. Rise, He is calling you.” [50] And throwing aside his garment, he rose and came to Jesus. [51] So Jesus answered and said to him, “What do you want Me to do for you?” The blind man said to Him, “Rabboni, that I may receive my sight.” [52] Then Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road.

Some encounters with Christ are very interesting yet still powerful. Whatever we need in our lives, we must never allow other things to stop us from exercising our faith in God. When it comes to the need for a life changing encounter with Christ, be ready to do whatever it takes, even if it means becoming undignified.

Blind Bartimaeus sat by the roadside begging. When he heard that Jesus was passing by, he began to shout to get His attention. The people around warned him to be silent. Sensing this was his only opportunity to have an encounter with Jesus, he continued to shout even louder for mercy. Eventually, Christ commanded the man to be brought to him. That day Bartimaeus left the presence of Christ with his sight restored. The same people who warned him to be silent were the ones who were commanded to bring him to receive his miracle! Hmmmm!

Do you need an encounter with Christ? Pray and seek Him until you find Him and something happens (Matthew 7:7-11). Never allow anyone or anything to discourage you from doing what you need to do to get your breakthrough encounter With Christ. Never be a hindrance to anyone seeking God for their miracle. Our God is able to do all things. Never doubt His ability no matter how huge your challenge may seem.

Those who had positive encounters with Christ, demonstrated unstoppable faith. If you truly need an encounter with Christ today, this is what He says to you.

‭Mark 9:23 NKJV‬
[23] Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”

Friend, dare to believe!
