Prospering God’s way: Verse of the Day

PROSPERING GOD’S WAY:

‭Genesis 26:12-14 NKJV‬
[12] Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the Lord blessed him. [13] The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous; [14] for he had possessions of flocks and possessions of herds and a great number of servants. So the Philistines envied him.

The Bible says, Isaac sowed in that land and reaped a hundredfold in that same year and it was because God blessed his effort. That same year, Isaac began to prosper, and continued to prosper until he became exceedingly prosperous. God prospered Isaac! Isaac never set out to become prosperous. He lived his normal life trusting God to bless him as He had promised.

If you and I want to prosper, we must do things God’s way. We must live in obedience to God’s instructions and do things in ways that please God, so that He will bless our efforts. Isaac dwelt and sowed in that land because God told him to! He was in the right place for God’s blessings. Are you in right standing with God? Are you in the place God has placed you or told you to be? Genesis 26:1-6

That hundredfold blessing on the seeds that Isaac sowed was just the beginning of his prosperity. He continued to prosper until he became exceedingly prosperous. Why? He was a good steward of God’s blessings. He didn’t spend everything that God blessed him with and expected God to continue blessing him.

Friends, God gives more to the one who has or retains what was given to him initially (Matthew 25:14-30). Isaac was faithful with the initial hundredfold blessing (capital), and that is why he continued to prosper. If we are faithful stewards of the little, God will make us rulers over much.

Friend, do you want to live in the blessings of God? Learn the lesson in the parable of talents.

‭Matthew 25:29 NKJV‬
[29] ‘For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away.

May we learn to live the blessed life in Jesus’s name. Amen!
