HEALED BY HIS STRIPES:
Isaiah 53:5-6 NKJV
[5] But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. [6] All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
Christ paid the price for our healing, paving the way for us to live in divine health. Healing through Christ may be instant or gradual, so we must not give up believing. Learning to live in divine health, however, is a progressive venture.
The provision for our healing and health was made through the stripes of Jesus. Jesus took away our sins and also dealt with our illnesses and diseases (1 Peter 2:24). He took away both our sins and diseases, so that you and I may be healed spiritually and physically!
Why is it then that we fall sick from time to time and some we remain sick? It is because we have not learned how to eat the right food and how to live in divine health. We must learn to live in divine health just as we must learn to live by faith and in righteousness. We must work out our salvation. We must learn how to appropriate the provision Christ made for our healing into our lives by faith.
Do you want to be healed and live in divine health? Meditate often on God’s word on healing, declare them over your life and your particular situation (Mark 11:22-24), follow the instructions of the Holy Spirit and practice healthy living.
Those who believe and obey will always rejoice in triumph over sicknesses and diseases.
