TRAVAILING IN PRAYER:
Isaiah 66:7-9 NKJV
[7] “Before she was in labor, she gave birth; Before her pain came, She delivered a male child. [8] Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall the earth be made to give birth in one day? Or shall a nation be born at once? For as soon as Zion was in labor, She gave birth to her children. [9] Shall I bring to the time of birth, and not cause delivery?” says the Lord. “Shall I who cause delivery shut up the womb?” says your God.
Travailing in prayer is the process that opens up the spiritual birth channel to give birth to that which has been carried in the spiritual womb over a period of time. Travail in prayer is often needed for the birthing of vision, revival, church growth, and breakthroughs into higher levels.
Just like the natural birthing process, travail in prayer (labour pains) are induced by the Holy Spirit after we have carried a prayer burden for a while and are wrestling with God intensely in prayer (Genesis 32:24-26). Travail in prayer can be as intense and painful as natural Labour pains but are absolutely rewarding.
Do you want to experience more consistent answers to prayer and breakthroughs in your life? Do you want to be more successful in your intercessory Prayers? Be more focused and intense in your prayers. As soon as Zion travailed, she prevailed, and gave birth to her children. So will you!
