Grace and sin:Verse of the Day

GRACE AND SIN:

‭Romans 5:15-19 NKJV‬
[15] But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many. [16] And the gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned. For the judgment which came from one offense resulted in condemnation, but the free gift which came from many offenses resulted in justification. [17] For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.) [18] Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. [19] For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.

Grace exists and abounds where there is sin. Grace redeems and keeps from sin. More grace is needed and is available where there is more sin. No amount of sin is beyond the reach of grace. Grace is unconditional and free. It is not something we work for.

‭Ephesians 2:8-10 NKJV‬
[8] For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, [9] not of works, lest anyone should boast. [10] For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Grace never condones sin, as some people teach, but it makes provision to redeem us from all the Sinful MISTAKES that you and I will ever make in life. This is how God’s faithfulness continues to be demonstrated towards us. I pray you understand.

‭I John 1:8-10 NKJV‬
[8] If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. [9] If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. [10] If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

Friends, God’s grace abounds towards us only when we sincerely repent, confess our sins, and ask for forgiveness. There is no grace for us if we fail to acknowledge and turn away from our sins. Do you still think that we can continue to sin because grace has already taken care of all the sins we will ever commit?

‭Romans 6:1-4 NKJV‬
[1] What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? [2] Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? [3] Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? [4] Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Friends, this is how grace overcomes sin.

‭Luke 7:46-47 NKJV‬
[46] You did not anoint My head with oil, but this woman has anointed My feet with fragrant oil. [47] Therefore I say to you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little.”

The evidence of grace is love. The more grace is released to deal with sin, the more love would flow as a result.
