Hidden mystery revealed: Verse of the Day

‭Colossians 1:26-29 NKJV‬
[26] the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints. [27] To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. [28] Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. [29] To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily.

There is a mystery that has been hidden for years and for generations, that is being revealed to the unbelieving world now through you and I, who have believed in Christ Jesus as our Saviour and Lord. This mystery is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Which glory is this passage talking about? The glory of being in God’s presence and living with Him in eternity.

‭Revelation 21:22-24 NKJV‬
[22] But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. [23] The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. [24] And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it.

But before we get there, God wants to make known the riches of His glory to the unbelievers through you and I. He wants us to show the world why they need to also believe and have Christ in them. This is because His desire is that all men may be saved (1 Timothy 2:1-4).

Christ can reach everyone in the world through us. Wherever we are we demonstrate the riches of His glory by allowing the Christ in us to work through us. Jesus is the light of the world. His life gives light to everyone who comes into this world and accepts Him as Saviour (John 1:3-4).

Friend, is Christ ruling in your heart? Do you know that all His fullness, all that Christ is, is in you? Now, Christ Himself said, “you are the light of the world” (Matthew 6:14-16). Do you believe that? Then let His light shine through you so that the world may experience the glory of the Living God. So, when you read the verse below, understand.

‭Isaiah 60:1-3 NKJV‬
[1] Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. [2] For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you. [3] The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising.
