BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD:
Luke 19:36-40 NLT
[36] As he rode along, the crowds spread out their garments on the road ahead of him. [37] When he reached the place where the road started down the Mount of Olives, all of his followers began to shout and sing as they walked along, praising God for all the wonderful miracles they had seen. [38] “Blessings on the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven, and glory in highest heaven!” [39] But some of the Pharisees among the crowd said, “Teacher, rebuke your followers for saying things like that!” [40] He replied, “If they kept quiet, the stones along the road would burst into cheers!”
Celebrate Jesus whenever you get the opportunity, for all that He has done for you. As Christ rode into Jerusalem, the crowds ahead spread their garments on the road and those who followed shouted and praised God for the wonderful miracles He had performed.
Before Jesus faced the most serious challenges and suffering of His life, He took time to celebrate and be celebrated for all wonderful miracles He has done. He was teaching us that we must never allow impending challenges to rob us of our joy. He was teaching us that to be victorious in life, we must approach impending challenges with triumphant joy.
When the Pharisees saw the crowds, and realized that all their efforts to hinder the success of Jesus’s ministry had failed, they asked Him to tell His disciples to keep quiet. Jesus responded that if His disciples shut up, even the stones along the road will rise up and praise God! Praise to God for a genuine work of grace is unstoppable.
Friends, this is the bottom line. Anyone who lives or serves in THE NAME OF THE LORD, will be called BLESSED, and they will bring joy wherever they go because God will work with them confirming the Word with signs, wonders, and miracles (Acts 8:5-8, Mark 16:15-20).
Romans 10:15 NLT
[15] And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!”
Blessed will you be called when you step out in the name of the LORD.
