Work out your Salvation: Verse of the Day

WORK OUT YOUR SALVATION:

‭Philippians 2:9-13 NKJV‬
[9] Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, [10] that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, [11] and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. [12] Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; [13] for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.

When Jesus said it is finished on the cross of Calvary (John 19:30), He really meant that the price for our total salvation, redemption from sin, illnesses, poverty, curses, and everything that was contrary to us, had been paid. To experience the abundant life and more that Jesus Christ purchased for us, we have got to work out our salvation. That is we have got to learn how to appropriate all the benefits of our salvation into our lives.

Beloved, what the Bible says about what Jesus did for us is the absolute truth. When we grasp hold of them, understand them and know how to apply them to our lives by faith, we will experience the power of God in our lives. What Jesus accomplished for us covers all affected areas of our lives. This is what the Bible says in ….

Colossians 2:13-15 NKJV‬
[13] And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, [14] having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. [15] Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.

So, why do Christians still sin? Why do Believers get sick? Why do we get attacked and used by evil spirits? It’s because we have not learned how to work out our salvation. How do we work out our salvation? We begin by abiding in Christ and allowing His word to abide in us. That is when we receive revelation of the Word, that is, discover the TRUTH that sets us Free.

Beloved, let us work out our salvation with fear and trembling!
