THE GLORY FILLS AND STAYS ON THE TABERNACLE:
Exodus 40:32-38 NKJV
[32] Whenever they went into the tabernacle of meeting, and when they came near the altar, they washed, as the Lord had commanded Moses. [33] And he raised up the court all around the tabernacle and the altar, and hung up the screen of the court gate. So Moses finished the work. [34] Then the cloud covered the tabernacle of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. [35] And Moses was not able to enter the tabernacle of meeting, because the cloud rested above it, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. [36] Whenever the cloud was taken up from above the tabernacle, the children of Israel would go onward in all their journeys. [37] But if the cloud was not taken up, then they did not journey till the day that it was taken up. [38] For the cloud of the Lord was above the tabernacle by day, and fire was over it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.
God is a faithful God. He kept His promise to Moses that His presence will be with him as he leads the children of Israel to their promised land. Today’s Devotional is to reinforce what we learned on day two. God leads by His Spirit.
Moses was totally obedient to God in the construction of the tabernacle. He finished the work exactly as God commanded him. Afterwards, he, Aaron, and his sons washed their feet and hands at the laver with the water provided for washing next to it. This they did every time they went into the tabernacle of meeting and when they came near to the altar. They created the environment for God’s presence to be made manifest.
The Bible says, then the cloud covered the tabernacle and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. The children of Israel could only travel when the cloud lifted from the tabernacle. They didn’t move when the cloud covered the tabernacle. It was time to worship and rest in the LORD!
Exodus 40:38 NKJV
[38] For the cloud of the Lord was above the tabernacle by day, and fire was over it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.
Do you get it? Is Christ your Emmanuel? Do you prepare yourself daily to acknowledge His presence and walk with Him? Do you obey the leadings of the Holy Spirit? 100%? Remember that only those who are led by the HOLY SPIRIT, not their pastors and earthly leaders, are the SONS OF GOD.
Earthly leaders are meant to facilitate the leading of the Holy Spirit. They are to prepare and help the Believers to discern and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. Beloved, let us learn to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit.
