THE WORKMANSHIP OF GOD:
Ephesians 2:4-10 NKJV
[4] But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, [5] even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), [6] and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, [7] that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. [8] For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, [9] not of works, lest anyone should boast. [10] For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
You and I are products of God’s workmanship, artwork, and craftsmanship, for the purpose of doing good works. In other words, we are products of God’s project, we are His Masterpiece! We are created in Christ Jesus to fulfill His purposes (good works) which have already been prepared for us to walk in.
Beloved, we are God’s work-in-progress. We are an ongoing project in the hands of the Living God. He will not leave us until He has accomplished His work in us and through us. God is through Christ reclaiming His own and restoring us to His original intent and purposes for us.
Genesis 1:26-28 NKJV
[26] Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” [27] So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. [28] Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
Friend, have you lost your confidence? Do you have issues with your emotions and self-esteem? Take courage and take your eyes off yourself and what people say or think of you. Know that you are God’s workmanship, and He has not finished with you yet. He is restoring you to how He created you to be.
Understand this. We cannot be God because there is only one God. But we can be like Him! We were originally created in His image and likeness, and when Christ comes again and the work of God in us is nearing completion, we SHALL BE LIKE HIM!
I John 3:2 NKJV
[2] Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.
