THE CALL TO FRUITFULNESS:
John 15:16 NIV
[16] You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.
Every servant is employed to produce fruitful service. As Christians, we need to understand that we are called to be disciples who grow to produce other disciples. We are called to fruit bearing lives, to bear fruit that remains.
Firstly, every Christian must bear fruits worthy of their repentance. That is the evidence of transformed lives, that is the fruits of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 3:8 & Galatians 5:22-25). Secondly, Believers must walk in obedience to the great commission to go and make disciples of all nations. So, the fruit that God is expecting from us are transformed lives that transform other lives.
Let me gently ask you, are you a fruit bearing Christian? Do you have testimony everywhere you are that you are a true Christian? Are you consistently leading souls to Christ and helping them grow to be like Christ? God is saying that the only way we can bear fruit is to remain in intimate fellowship with Him and His Holy Spirit.
These are those who experience increase because the presence of God is made visible in their lives. God works with them, confirming the Word with signs and wonders to attract many to salvation. May God be with you as you abide in Him and His words abide in you and make you fruitful and successful in everything you do in Jesus’s name. Amen!
