THE GIFT OF WORKING OF MIRACLES:
I Corinthians 12:7-11 NKJV
[7] But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: [8] for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, [9] to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, [10] to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. [11] But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.
This gift is the supernatural ability given to an individual to intervene in the ordinary course of nature through the power of God. Examples include Moses stretching his rod over the Red Sea for the children of Israel to walk through (Exodus 14:13-31), Jesus changing water into wine (John 2:1-11), and the multiplication of a few fish and bread to feed thousands (Matthew 14:13-21)
Generally, every manifestation of the power of God through all the gifts of the Holy Spirit is considered a miracle, but this gift is unique and direct intervention in the natural flow of this. The manifestation of God’s power through an individual demonstrates the sovereignty of God in the affairs of life.
Whenever the power of God is in manifestation, many are touched to open their hearts and become more receptive to the gospel (Acts 8:5-8). Do you want to touch more lives with the word of God? Do you want to win souls into the kingdom of God. Learn to minister through the power of the Holy Spirit. Those who operate in this gift of working of miracles are like magnets. They attract many into the kingdom of God. Let’s desire this gift. Let’s desire to walk in power!
