When a Madman worships: Verse of the Day

WHEN A MADMAN WORSHIPS:

‭‭Mark 5:1-8 NKJV‬‬
[1] Then they came to the other side of the sea, to the country of the Gadarenes. [2] And when He had come out of the boat, immediately there met Him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, [3] who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no one could bind him, not even with chains, [4] because he had often been bound with shackles and chains. And the chains had been pulled apart by him, and the shackles broken in pieces; neither could anyone tame him. [5] And always, night and day, he was in the mountains and in the tombs, crying out and cutting himself with stones. [6] When he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and worshiped Him. [7] And he cried out with a loud voice and said, “What have I to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore You by God that You do not torment me.” [8] For He said to him, “Come out of the man, unclean spirit!”
[14] So those who fed the swine fled, and they told it in the city and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that had happened. [15] Then they came to Jesus, and saw the one who had been demon-possessed and had the legion, sitting and clothed and in his right mind. And they were afraid.
[18] And when He got into the boat, he who had been demon-possessed begged Him that he might be with Him. [19] However, Jesus did not permit him, but said to him, “Go home to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you, and how He has had compassion on you.” [20] And he departed and began to proclaim in Decapolis all that Jesus had done for him; and all marveled.

No one remains the same after a true encounter with Christ Jesus. This man had been mad all his life, but when he saw Jesus he ran and worshiped him. From that day his life was transformed.

That day he was set completely free, sat at the feet of Jesus for a while and when Jesus released him to go and tell his family, he went to the Decapolis (10 cities) and told them about Christ and what He had done for him.

What have you done for Christ since you believed? How many people have you shared the gospel with and influenced for Christ? Where is your testimony of transformation? The only reason why our gospel will not be effective is when our lifestyle remains Unchanged.

When Jesus returned Gennesaret later, the whole region/Decapolis, there was a mighty revival, all due to the impact of this madman who was made whole. God wants to use you and your transformed life to touch others. Are you ready? Then let’s start with our spouses!

‭‭I Peter 3:1-4 NKJV‬‬
[1] Wives, likewise, be submissive to your own husbands, that even if some do not obey the word, they, without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives, [2] when they observe your chaste conduct accompanied by fear. [3] Do not let your adornment be merely outward—arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel— [4] rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.

Beloved, we must let our lights shine through our changed lives.
