Victorious living: Verse of the Day

‭Romans 8:31-37 NKJV‬
[31] What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? [32] He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? [33] Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. [34] Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. [35] Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? [36] As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” [37] Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

Through His unchangeable love for us, Christ has purchased for us our salvation, health, peace, freedom, protection, and empowered us to live in victory. All these are written in His word. Our salvation is technically complete in Him.

Our task now as redeemed Believers, is to appropriate these blessings that He has purchased for us through His sufferings, crucifixion, death, burial, and resurrection into our lives. This process is called working out our salvation. Thankfully, God shows us the perfect way. To live knowing that we are more than conquerors, who can never be separated from His love for us.

Friends, God wants us to know that He is with us and for us, and that nothing and no one can be against us and win. Until we are able to appropriate all these blessings effectively into our lives, we can be sure that God is with us in sicknesses, challenges, battles, oppositions, and all forms of afflictions to ensure our victory (Isaiah 43:1-7).

Are you going through any form of challenges right now? Are you battling with sickness, anxiety, or image problems? Don’t give up! You are more than a conqueror! God has promised to give you freely everything you need to overcome that situation. Battles are fought and won one at a time. Take up God’s word relating to what you are going through right now, meditate on it until you clearly understand it, and then speak that word against your situation (Mark 11:22-24).

Your victory is guaranteed because Jesus fought and won that battle for you over two thousand years ago! Your proclamation of His word against that situation enforced and appropriated that victory on your behalf. Hallelujah! You are more than a conqueror!
